Or book a tour with a guide and encounter historical sites and excavations and perhaps fall in love with one of the small romantic, villages of the island. During the spring and autumn months Naxos is also ideal for hiking holidays. The particularly diverse landscape will take you past rivers with waterfalls, fertile plateaus and olive groves. The central location of the island in the centre of the Cyclades is an ideal starting point for trips to the surrounding islands. These isles are only a few miles away and easily reachable with a sailing boat, a catamaran or public sea transport.

The beautiful scenery of Naxos city and its outskirts characterised by its painteresque small white houses in the typical cycladic style, adorned by Bougainville and a vast variety of other flowers and plants will fulfil your holiday dreams. In Naxos it is not allowed to build housing with more than three floors.
